LIQUID-COOLED BRAKE PARTS DESCRIPTION

Patented break-through technology that offers higher braking torque with zero brake dust emissions, less weight, longer lifetime for lower production price of the brake.

1. What is a B-BRAKES liquid-cooled brake?

The B-BRAKES liquid-cooled brake is a sophisticated brake system solution designed as an environmentally friendly, powerful and reliable alternative to traditional drum and disc brakes. It uses a closed circuit with coolant that effectively removes heat and brake dust particles that would otherwise be released into the air.

2. What are the main advantages of this brake?

The B-BRAKES brake provides increased braking torque, excellent heat dissipation during repeated braking and eliminates forces stressing bearings and other vehicle parts. Thanks to its compact design, the brake can be installed in both the unsprung and sprung mass of the vehicle, for example in the wheels or as part of the gearbox.

3. What vehicles is this brake suitable for?

The B-BRAKES brake is versatile and can be adapted to a wide range of vehicles.

- passenger cars

- trucks

- buses

- sports cars

- agricultural machinery

- military vehicles

- metro

- trams

- trains

- airplanes

and more...

4. What is the environmental impact of the B-BRAKES braking system?

The brake is designed with ecology in mind. The particulates released from the brake disc and pads during braking are then passed in a closed circuit to a filter that captures them. As a result, brake dust particles are not released into the air and remain in the closed system until environmentally friendly disposal when the filter is replaced during regular vehicle maintenance.

5. What is the technological principle of operation?

The B-BRAKES liquid-cooled brake is designed in two variants - hydraulic and electric.

Hydraulic - the braking torque is generated by the pressure of the coolant on the pressure disc with the brake lining.

Electric (brake-by-wire) - the system can be supplemented by an electronic servo motor control which controls the pressure disc with brake lining via gears inside the brake.

6. How frequent is the service interval of the B-BRAKES brake?

The brake minimizes the need for regular maintenance due to its closed circuit with cooling and dirt filtration.

The brake lining follows the circular shape of the disc and, thanks to efficient heat dissipation and a sufficiently large friction surface, there is only minimal wear. This extends the service life of the brake system up to 400,000 km for passenger cars. It is only necessary to change the particulate filter approximately once every 100,000 km; this figure also applies to passenger cars.

7. How does it differ from other modern braking systems?

Compared to traditional systems, the B-BRAKES brake is more compact, has a higher braking torque, dissipates heat better and can also be installed in part of the vehicle's suspension mass. This improves handling and driving comfort, which is particularly advantageous for electric and sports cars.

8. Why choose B-BRAKES brakes?

B-BRAKES represents a revolutionary step towards greener, more efficient and more comfortable mobility. It offers unique technical advantages, easy integration into different vehicles and reduces overall running costs. With B-BRAKES you are investing in the future of braking systems.

Description of the technical solution

This new type of liquid-cooled brake for vehicles has been developed as an alternative to drum and disc brakes, offering improved technical features. It is designed to be eco-friendly, safe, and efficient. The brake provides a higher braking torque, effectively dissipates heat even during repeated braking, and is compactly built to be installable both in wheels and transmission housings. During braking, no forces arise that would strain the bearings and other vehicle parts.

The principle of operation is to place the brake disc and brake lining in a pressurised housing filled with coolant, which removes heat and dirt generated during braking. This coolant flows in a closed circuit where impurities are trapped by a filter. The braking force is generated by the pressure of the brake fluid on the pressure plate to which the brake lining is attached and which is pressed against the brake disc during braking to generate braking torque.

Another way to create braking torque is to replace the hydraulic pressure with a "smart" motor (controlled by a servomotor). This solution enables brake-by-wire control. When using a servomotor, this system also creates the possibility of programming the ABS.

There are several versions of this design. A simpler version is the single-sided axial brake, where the brake disc is firmly connected to the rotating shaft and uses only one brake lining. The multi-sided axial brake has multiple linings and discs within the housing, increasing the braking torque without needing to enlarge the brake system diameter. This allows for higher efficiency with less bearing load.

Additionally, the liquid-cooled brake can be connected to an electric parking brake, where an electric motor, through a gear drive, provides the clamping force necessary to secure the vehicle when parked. The multi-sided axial brake is compact, offers versatile installation options, and can be mounted either directly in the wheel or next to the transmission housing.
